"Arms of the Kraken" is a George R. R. Martin novella that was first published in Dragon magazine, issue #305. The story is set in the Iron Islands during the War of the Five Kings. The four chapters that comprise "Arms of the Kraken" were later published as parts of the fourth book in the series, A Feast for Crows: The Prophet, The Kraken's Daughter, The Iron Captain, and The Drowned Man. The magazine also features an illustration of Euron Crow's Eye by Justin Sweet.

The Dragon issue with "Arms of the Kraken" should not be mistaken with another issue of Dragon (issue #307). The latter issue, which features Melisandre on the cover, includes an interview with GRRM, a Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting in King's Landing and the Wall, and a poster-size map of Westeros.
