A Feast For Crows (2005) was the fourth and most recent title in the Song of Ice and Fire series, following bestselling titles A Game of Thrones (1996), A Clash of Kings (1998), and A Storm of Swords (2000).

Author George R. R. Martin will continue the series in the fifth book, A Dance with Dragons. GRRM, his publishers, and his fans hope that the book will be delivered in 2008, though the actual release date is anyone's guess.

GRRM now admits that A Song of Ice and Fire will span at least seven books. Potential titles for future books include "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring." The final book was previously believed to be titled "A Time for Wolves" until GRRM changed his mind.

The "Tales of the Seven Kingdoms"--better known as the Dunk and Egg Tales--is a series of short novels, also written by George R. R. Martin. Like ASOIAF, these tales are set in the world of Westeros, but the events take place a hundred years earlier. The first two tales, The Hedge Knight (1998) and The Sworn Sword (2003), were published in the Legends anthology, edited by Robert Silverberg.

A third installment, tentatively titled "The Mystery Knight," will be published in Warriors, a new anthology edited by GRRM. Warriors is on track for a 2009 release.

"Arms of the Kraken" and "The Captain of Guards" are not titles for future books. They are actually excerpts from AFFC that were released as special previews (see also: Arms of the Kraken and The Captain of Guards).
